A is for Angst

[Amazon.com Review]    ☆☆☆☆☆  Alexander is 13 and lives with a constant fear of being bullied. In this well-written work about the angst of adolescence, we are at once supporting Alexander in his quest for safety from his perceived enemies while at the same time questioning whether such fears are even warranted. Interesting character sketches of Alexander and his friends, “enemies” and teacher. A wheelchair-bound boy particularly piqued my interest and I would like to became better acquainted with him. While perhaps intended for the middle school set, this is a tale that made my adult heart thump with memories of what it was like growing up. This book is worth taking a look at. (“Sivin”)
